10.10.10 Wedding at the Davenport Hotel

A remarkable date for a truly remarkable wedding. October 10th had Lance and I working together once again. This time on different floors of The Davenport Hotel and Tower for Marianne and Chris’ wedding.

Lance provided the ceremony music and sound reinforcement for their ceremony in the historic Isabella Ball Room. The chairs were covered in white covers and accented with gold bows. Flower petals lined the aisle, and Lance played love songs in the background. Marianne was beautiful in her blush ball gown and the groom in his black tuxedo. Marianne and Chris had their children join in the sand ceremony creating a multi-colored sand sculpture showing the blending of their families, each unique and special. With Brick House playing during their first kiss you knew this was a fun loving couple ready to celebrate their wedding with their friends and family.

I was one floor above in the Marie AntionetteBall Room putting the final touches on their decor lighting, light-scaping, and custom monogram projection. I had met withChris and Marianne to determine their vision for the room. They wanted fun withthe stars light-scaping the tables, a focal point of their 10.10.10 wedding date in their monogram, and elegance withthe decor lighting during the cocktail hour before the party really got going. The room is beautiful in any setting, but this event was magical. The tables were covered in gold linens withcandle and flower centerpieces, gold chairs, buffet tables lining the side of the room, and the balcony with additional seating was amazing. The lighting was the final touch that made the room complete.

In the interest of full disclosure, it should be noted that Big Show Mobile Entertainment was not the DJ for the reception. The audio equipment shown in the pictures does not belong to us. This is not uncommon because we often provide lighting for events that we do not DJ. However since we did provide sound reinforcement for the ceremony we thought we should make this distinction.
